Ms. Ginny Taurasi, Director of the California School of Dog Grooming, was awarded her teaching credentials by the California Bureau of Private & Postsecondary and Vocational Education.  Ms. Taurasi is authorized to teach Work Related Injuries, Cumulative Trauma and Ergonomics, with special emphasis on injury prevention, re-education and program implementations.
Ms. Taurasi has also been approved to teach Small Business Ownership courses.
A graduate of the Copley Secretarial Institute and Chandler School for Women in Boston, Massachusetts, she began her career at Tufts University,

Boston University School of Medicine and the Boston School of Occupational Therapy. Ginny moved to the west coast in 1990 where she worked as an administrator at the Scripps Research Institute in La Jolla, California before opening the California School of Dog Groomer with her business partner, Susan Sholar.
When asked why these courses were so important to teach at a grooming school, Ginny was not hesitant in her reply.
"In today's business market, especially the pet grooming field, entrepreneurship is growing rapidly.  Owning your own pet grooming business affords the individual the opportunity to own a piece

of the American Dream.  Start-up costs are affordable and if you learn the proper method of quality grooming, you can succeed in earning a viable living while owning your own business."
"With any type of work, a person is prone to injuries.  What I teach, is how to avoid them.  Ergonomically correct tools and understanding how  body mechanics work, can possibly avoid a work related injury that could  result in a short term career.
"I believe that these additional two courses, only enhance the graduate's chances of success in the pet care industry."
