royal bed-warmers and some were even used as hot-water bottles for ailing muscles.
As Cavalier King Charles Spaniels we get our name from King Charles II.  He used to take his dogs everywhere with him.  We represent 400 years of dogs bred to do nothing, except to be a friend.  Our purpose ids only to love!", Tricky explained.
"Wow, Tricky, I never thought of that before.  We are always here for our family.  We're right at heir heels when they are standing, and instantly on their laps when they sit down .  My purpose is to love! What more important job is there!"  "None that I can think of", said Tricky.

ABOUT THE BREED

The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel is a delightfully affectionate, playful, intelligent little dog that repays his owner's care and attention with an endearing devotion.
A toy breed, they have a natural coat which needs no trimming, long silky ears, and large soulful eyes. More than one person has described them as looking like a Cocker Spaniel puppy all their lives. The tail is often left natural. The standard makes tail docking.
A prescription written in Old English for the Queen of England directs her to keep a "comforte dog" (now known as the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel) on her lap to treat a cold.

Sondra Milovich loves being around animals.  This was quite evident when she entered our program at CSDG.  Sondra traveled from Monrovia California, which is located in the foothills of the San Bernardino Mountains.  Three days a week Sondra took the 3 hour drive each way, often leaving her home at 4:30 AM each morning and arriving home late in the evening.  After researching state approved pet grooming schools, Sondra decided that CSDG would offer her an extensive curriculum and practical experience.  An ardent student, Sondra became one of our top graduates.

Sondra now owns two grooming shops; one in Monrovia and the other in Sierra Madre called the Dog Wash Express and Pet Boutique.  Sondra was voted by  three independent newspapers as the "Best grooming shop in the area."  California School of Dog Grooming congratulates Sondra for her hard work and dedication in making her dream come true!!!!
