OUR
GOAL:
Our
goal is simple and direct. We strive to produce the best and most
knowledgeable pet groomers in the work force today. We have
students learning their trade on dogs, cats and even rabbits, under
the direct supervision of state certified instructors. Our instructors
have a combined total of over 120 years of experience in the pet care
industry. Foremost, they are respected by their peers and clients.
They own boarding kennels and grooming businesses, are professional
dog handlers and breed their own variety of dogs and cats. Our
Head instructor is also an American Kennel Club judge and one of our
other instructors has made application for the same license with AKC.
We
at the "California School of Dog Grooming" feel that our course curriculum,
teaching staff and modern physical settings play an important role in
determining how well you will achieve your objective as a professional
pet groomer.
Our
school is the only dog grooming school on the west coast that offers,
as part of the curriculum, a "Kennel Management" course. This
phase takes you to an off-site working kennel where you will be instructed
in all the facets of running and maintaining a boarding facility.
Work related injuries, small business seminars, guest speakers and field
trips to the American Kennel Club and the American Rare Breed dog shows
are just some of the specialized curriculum being offered at the school.
These course complement the comprehensive program already set in place.
At the California School of Dog Grooming, we give you an overall picture
of the many different viewpoints that are available to you in the industry
today.
Based
on the school's 4,800 client based index, our students are grooming
between 250-300 animals, from bathing and brushing, scissoring
and clipping, before they graduate from the 608 hour course program.
